Winter Banjo Concerts

January presented a flurry of classical banjo concerts across the state of Virginia. I had the privilege of performing two concerts with Markus Compton on piano - one in Henrico, VA (pictured) and one in the beautiful Eastern Shore town of Cape Charles, VA - at their historic Palace Theater. I also had the honor of performing for the Williamsburg Music Club in Colonial Williamsburg! All very rewarding experiences that warmed my heart and brightened my winter.

I am working hard on my recent commission from composer Adam Larrabee - 24 Preludes for Solo Banjo. I hope to start recording some of these enchanting preludes this Spring. You can get a glimpse into this work by watching this video performance of Prelude in B flat minor from this collection. I look forward to being back out playing in March...when we can at least hope Spring is near!
